In partnership with the state of Montana, tech vendors such as IBM, Microsoft, NextIO and Nice have created the Big Sky system, the cornerstone of the new Rocky Mountain Supercomputer Centers. The 3.8 teraflop system, powered by IBM’s System p and System x servers and running Microsoft’s Windows HPC Server 2008, is designed to fulfill Montana Gov.
